Your retreat stays yours.

This policy covers The Long Retreat for iPhone and its launch website. The developer is Richard Ziolkowski. For privacy questions, email feedback@terminaldrill.com with “The Long Retreat” in the subject.

The iPhone app does not collect personal data or track you. It has no developer account, ads, in-app purchases or third-party analytics. Gameplay works offline.

Game records on your device

The app stores your captain name, settings, orders, progress and archived retreat records locally on your iPhone. These records are used to save and reconstruct your game. They are not automatically transmitted to the developer. The release does not use a developer-operated cloud service or cross-device game sync.

Backups and optional exports

You can explicitly export a retreat from Settings. A backup contains the captain name, original orders and story spoilers. You choose where to save it using Apple’s file interface. If you select a cloud storage location or share the file with someone, that service or recipient receives it under your direction and their own privacy terms.

A separate diagnostic export contains the app version, build, OS version, supported rules versions and counts of saved and sealed runs. It does not contain names, orders or story text. Exporting a file does not automatically send it to us.

Support messages

If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever message or attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, investigate the issue and maintain a record of the support request. Please avoid sending sensitive information. We do not use support correspondence for advertising or sell it. You may ask us to delete your correspondence by contacting the same address; records may be retained where needed to resolve an ongoing issue or meet applicable obligations.

Apple services

Apple handles App Store downloads and may provide platform diagnostics according to your device’s analytics-sharing settings. Apple’s own privacy policy applies to those services. System device backups may include app data according to your Apple settings; this is distinct from in-app cloud sync.

This website

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It does not use advertising, analytics scripts, contact forms or tracking cookies added by the developer. Cloudflare processes ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of that information. Fonts and images are served with this website. Email links open your own mail application.

Deleting records

Deleting the app through iOS removes its local app data. Offloading the app retains data. Exported backups and copies stored with other services remain under your control and must be deleted separately. To request deletion of support correspondence, contact us. There is no developer account or remote game database to delete.

Children and changes to this policy

The game contains fictional war, death and mature survival themes; follow the age rating shown by the App Store. The app does not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
